Our Program
Why us
🌟 Our Programs: Empowering Women and Youth
Angala Trust's work is grounded in our commitment to overcoming entrenched social challenges like child marriage, poverty, and illiteracy in the Hyderabad-Karnataka region. We focus primarily on girls and youth from Devadasi families, Scheduled Caste/Tribe households, and marginalized communities. Our programs are structured around three core pillars of intervention:
🧭 Core Pillars of Intervention
These three strategic activities are designed to create sustainable change and empower the next generation.
01
Training and Awareness Building
We conduct targeted training programs to equip women and girls with the knowledge and skills necessary for self-determination.
Skill Development: Focusing on leadership, gender equality, and life skills.
Health and Rights: Organizing awareness campaigns on reproductive health and rights, and critical issues like gender-based violence.
Community Education: Mobilizing communities against harmful practices, particularly child marriage, and promoting access to education and healthcare.
02
Campaigns to Claim Entitlements
We actively advocate for the rights of marginalized groups who are often excluded from social security.
Access Advocacy: Supporting Devadasi and Dalit women and girls in navigating bureaucratic systems to access government schemes, social security benefits, and essential healthcare services.
Reducing Inequality: Working to raise awareness about available entitlements to promote social inclusion and reduce systemic inequality.
03
Scholarship Program for Vulnerable Girls
This crucial program ensures that financial barriers do not halt the educational journey of deserving young girls.
Financial & Mentorship Support: Providing scholarships, especially for higher studies, to girls from Devadasi families and other marginalized groups.
Breaking the Cycle: By investing in their education, we help them break the cycle of poverty and early marriage, fostering greater social mobility and independence.
🤝 Ongoing Flagship Projects
