Our Impact
✨ Our Impact: Breaking Cycles and Building Futures
Angala Trust is dedicated to creating measurable, long-term impact in the lives of women and youth from marginalized communities in the Hyderabad-Karnataka region. Our success is reflected in the tangible outcomes achieved through education, empowerment, and protection initiatives.
🎓 Educational Empowerment and Protection
Our Educational Support Project, primarily in partnership with “Few Good Deeds,” has directly reduced school dropouts and prevented early marriage by ensuring vulnerable girls continue their studies, especially into higher education.
| Metric | 2021 | 2022 | 2023 | 2024 | Total Impact (2021-2024) |
| Students Directly Supported | 68 | 70 | 56 | 85 | 279 |
| Girls Pursuing Higher Education | – | – | – | – | 65 |
| Child Marriage Cases Among Beneficiaries | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Financial Security: This initiative has enabled students to become more secure and independent, leading to higher rates of higher education enrollment.
Donor Confidence: The sustained and increasing support from “Few Good Deeds” (from $\text{Rs. 1,00,000}$ in 2021 to $\text{Rs. 5,00,000}$ in 2024, with $\text{Rs. 4,00,000}$ promised) reflects strong confidence in our program’s effectiveness and transparency.
🏫 Strengthening Foundational Learning
Through our partnership with Sakhi Trust, the Community Tuition Centers provide crucial academic support to first-generation learners in vulnerable areas.
Current Reach: Two centers (Durgammana Gudi and Dalit Keri) serving approximately 100 to 120 children combined (50-60 children per center).
Outcome: Improved students’ academic performance, confidence, and school retention, especially among girls.
Focus: Strengthening foundational learning in core subjects for students in Classes 1 to 7.
🌟 Historical and Qualitative Impact
Before the current large-scale projects, Angala Trust delivered significant results through grassroots efforts:
Higher Education Success: Through crowdfunding and financial aid, we supported over 10 young girls in Koppal District, all of whom went on to pursue their Master’s degrees.
Individual Empowerment: Supported Ms. Lakshmidevi, who came from a marginalized family, to complete her journalism degree and secure a fellowship in menstrual health with Uninhabited.
Child Protection Referral: In 2019-20, we successfully connected five young girls facing vulnerability to Sakhi in Hospet for educational financial aid and career guidance, preventing potential child marriages.
Community Mobilization (2015-2021): Organized summer camps, leadership training, menstrual health awareness, and gender training, benefiting communities in villages like Hitnal, Kavaluru, and Huligi.
